Graduate course in Surgical Sciences
The Graduate Program in Surgery Sciences aims at training professors and researchers in the various fields of knowledge covered by the Surgical Clinic, with the main goal of earning a Master and Doctorate of Science degree in the Surgical Pathophysiology area, providing the scientific improvement, aiming at the most complete training, both for teaching and for research.
During this process, we emphasize an interdisciplinary approach, critical scientific training, qualification of content and the programs seeding mission. The Graduate Program in Surgical Sciences is taught by the professors of the surgery department, and other credentialed professors. The Program is governed by the Unicamp Graduate programs General Rules and the regulations of the FCM Graduate Programs.
Applicants for Master's and Doctorate programs in the Clinical Pathophysiology major area should submit a certificate/statement of a bachelor's degree preferably in the medical field or related fields issued by higher education institutions according to the law. The program duration is 12-24 months and for the Master's degree program and 24 to 48 months for a doctorate degree.
The Master's and doctorate degree programs in Surgical Sciences received a grade 5 at CAPES evaluation regarding the triennium of 2010/2012 and were recognized by the MEC (Ministry of Education) Ordinance 524 of 04/29/08.
