3. Clinical Pharmacology and Quality Control of Medicines
The projects included in this line of research cover studies of the bioavailability and bioequivalence of medicines, and of factors potentially related to the success or failure of therapeutic regimens. Special attention is paid to the rational use of medicines, with a view to patient safety and the effectiveness of therapy, observing quality, proposing formulations or substitutions, monitoring pharmacotherapy, pharmacogenomics and the existence of adverse events.

4. Toxinology and Toxicology
The projects included in the “Toxinology” line aim to deepen our knowledge of the mechanism of action of snake, insect, arthropod and amphibian venoms, and their isolated toxins, in biological models in vivo and in vitro. The projects included in the “Toxicology” line aim to study the toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of the main toxicants of interest to Toxicology and the development of analytical methods for determining toxic agents and metabolites in different matrices.
