Procedures Following the Defense

PROCEDURES FOR ARRANGING THE CATALOG CARD AND ISSUING THESIS COPIES

DEADLINES AND GENERAL GUIDELINES

SUBMISSION OF THE FINAL VERSION

  1. Following approval or conditional approval of the defense, the student will have 60 days from the date of the defensee to upload their final version to SIGA. At 45, 30, and 15-day intervals, emails will be sent to the student and advisor informing them of the need to do so. The dissertation/thesis must be validated again by the secretariat and advisor before being forwarded to the PRPG (Dean of Graduate Studies) for homologation;
  2. The student's name must be identical to that on their birth/marriage certificate in all fields of the thesis/dissertation file (verify accents, married name, remove abbreviations, etc.);
  3. For files using the alternative format, inclusion of the journal's permission to use the article is mandatory – a template for requesting permission from the journal is at the end of these instructions.
  4. For dissertations/theses whose content involves research involving human subjects, animals, biosafety, or genetic heritage, inclusion of the respective approval documents obtained from the competent authorities as appendices is mandatory. 
  5. Obtain the catalog card from the Library/FCM (Faculty of Medical Sciences) via the online form available at: https://ficha.sbu.unicamp.br/

* Items 3, 4, and 5 must be included in the final thesis file (3 and 4 depending on the format/topic);
