The organizing committee warmly invite you to attend the 1st International Workshop on Women’s Health: Clinical and Basic Science Translational Research, to be held in the Faculty of Medical Science, UNICAMP, on Feb 15th and 15th, 2013. This is an initiative of Post Graduation Program of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Faculty of Medical Science and Post Graduation Program of Cell and Structural Biology, Institute of Biology, University of Campinas to highlight recent progress on clinical, therapeutics and diagnosis of pregnancy, based on fundamentals of basic science researches. This workshop is addressed for clinicians, researchers, residents, graduate and undergraduate students interested on translational study and comprehension of key questions of physiology, immunology, cell biology and pathology for clinical approach and researches of women`s care before, during and after pregnancy. The approaching of these topics with further discussions will be the lectures of outstanding invited researchers coming from Canada, Japan and Hong Kong and, researchers working in this area at the Faculty of Medical Science, University of Campinas. The meeting celebrates the University of Campinas, Brazil and Queen`s University, Canada bi-lateral Trade Agreements and “Wellness promotion prior to conception and during fetal life” research project awarded by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), Canada and the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES). This joint research program (2011-2012) is a successful experience of University of Campinas PhD student international exchanges between paired institutions. Thereby, the meeting will be the unique forum to discuss and share your expertise and stimulate the young investigators and professionals to plan international insertion as next step of active player in the frontier of women health care and science. Taking this opportunity, the organizers thanks to Dr. B Anne Croy, Dr. Charles Graham, Dr. Chandrakant Tayade, Dr. Shigeru Saito and Dr. Man King Chung have kindly attending the meeting as invited speakers and the supports of CAPES/Brazil, DFAIT/Canada and UNICAMP.
